Sally Kate Winters Family Services Children’s Advocacy Center provides an array of services that include child-friendly forensic interviews to suspected victims of child sexual abuse, physical abuse, and child witnesses to violent crimes. Our CAC also provides a victim advocate to work with the non-offending caregivers to educate them on the court system, make referrals to appropriate services, and provide them with information on victim compensation. All of these services are provided in conjunction with a Multidisciplinary Team that is comprised of professionals from law enforcement, Department of Human Services, medical and mental health, and the District Attorney’s Office.
Our CAC works to reduce harm done to children and families during a child abuse investigation and to provide a safe place for them to begin the healing process. Our staff is professionally trained and receives ongoing training to better serve the clients we see. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available; to learn more, please refer to our website.
