For over 20 years, Hope Haven has played a vital role in serving abused and neglected children in Hancock County through community education, advocacy, and direct assistance to families.
Programs We Provide:
• Forensic Interviews
Recorded interviews of children involved in allegations of sexual and/or physical abuse, as well as child witnesses of violent crime. Important that children only recount their experience once!
• Victim and Family Advocacy
Equip the entire family with the tools and skills needed to cope and heal
• Helping Hands
Direct assistance to families with children experiencing hardships with a goal of keeping families together in a safe and healthy environment
• Partners in Transition
Help to bridge the gap of children aging out of foster care with basic living expenses, scholarships for education, and support while they transition to adulthood.
• Stewards of Children
“Darkness to Light” child sexual abuse prevention training
• Project SATCHEL
Provide every child that has been removed from an abusive environment with a “Bag of Hope”- necessities and comfort items that children can have as their own
Hope Haven serves hundreds of children and their families each year through our programs and does not charge for any of our services. Our philosophy is that all child victims and their families should be able to access our services without an additional financial burden. All Hope Haven programs are funded by donations from individuals and foundations, fundraisers, and grant requests. To donate, visit our website or mail directly to the center.
