Wesley House - East Mississippi Child Advocacy Center
Wesley House Community Center through the East Mississippi Child Advocacy Center provides services to children, families, the community, and other agencies that help reduce the trauma experienced by those involved in child abuse investigations. As part of the Multidisciplinary Team Approach, our CAC works with law enforcement agencies, child protective services, district attorney’s offices, and medical/mental health professionals. We work to ensure that children and their non-offending caregivers receive education, support, treatment, and other services and/or referrals that might be needed to help them during and after child abuse investigations. We provide forensic interviews, advocacy, therapy, and referrals for specialized medical examinations to children and vulnerable adults who are alleged victims of sexual abuse, felony physical abuse, or witnesses to violent crimes. We facilitate multiple MDTs and work to educate the community and partner agencies on the many facets of child abuse that impact our children, families, and communities.
